How to check if there is a problem with the laser marking machine’s laser sources?

How Do I check if something is wrong with the laser?

If your laser marker doesn’t emit light,

if your laser marker doesn’t mark the surface of an object,

there’s a 70% chance your laser is malfunctioning and a 30% chance your tablet is malfunctioning.

How to tell if your marker laser is broken.

Intelligent robot workstations, intelligent work islands, providing the entire process (cutting, assembly, welding, grinding, inspection, etc.) of intelligent applications for the non-standard metal structure manufacturing industry.

Why use intermittent welds instead of welding the entire joint?

More welding isn’t always better. When the design allows it, intermittent welding—also called stitch welding—offers several advantages:

✅ Less distortion: Lower total heat input helps control deformation in thin plates and long components.
✅ Higher productivity: Shorter weld lengths mean less welding time.
✅ Lower costs: Reduced consumption of welding wire, shielding gas, and electricity.
✅ Less overwelding: Provides the required connection strength for suitable stiffeners and brackets without unnecessary welding.

⚠️but Intermittent welding isn’t suitable for every application. Sealing requirements, fatigue loading, and corrosive environments require careful design consideration. Weld length, spacing, and size must follow the engineering specifications.

It's hard to imagine how difficult it would be for a human to weld such a deep box, but a robot can weld 24/7, day and night, non-stop, and its welding quality is more consistent than that of a human. See MoreSee Less

How do you weld ship-frame components over 20 metres long?

This shipyard uses two 15-metre, 9-axis cantilever welding robots.

For shorter components, the robots work independently. For longer structures, they weld simultaneously from both ends—helping reduce cycle time without adding another production line.

The system also supports:

✅ Vision-based workpiece recognition
✅ Automatic path generation
✅ Flexible workpiece positioning
✅ No manual programming or CAD model import
✅ MIG/MAG welding applications

The customer began with one system for on-site testing. After validating the application, they added a second—and are planning further expansion.

Could this approach improve production in your shipyard or steel fabrication facility?

Send us your workpiece drawings or photos, material and thickness. Our team will evaluate the application and recommend a suitable configuration.

📩 Contact JTCLASER for specifications and application videos.
